What is Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening?
In a nutshell, fibroblast treatment uses plasma–an energized gas–to dissolve the outermost layer of the skin in the target area. This causes your skin’s recovery factors to boost their output, increasing your natural collagen production and creating new fibroblast cells. Once the area is healed, a fresh layer of skin with improved tightness and elasticity is revealed.
I begin my fibroblast treatment sessions by applying a topical numbing agent to the treatment area. Once it has numbed the area, I use my plasma pen device (I like to call it my magic wand) to create a series of small dots across the skin. Expect to see these dots for up to a week; they fall off naturally and should not be picked at or scratched. After they’re gone, you’ll see a totally refreshed face in the mirror!
What Can Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening Treat?
As I mentioned before, plasma skin tightening is an incredibly versatile procedure. Here are some of the common skin concerns it can treat:
Total non-surgical facelift
The skin-tightening results of the fibroblast treatment are easily comparable to those of surgical facelifts. When used around the temples and jawline, plasma skin tightening can noticeably lift the skin, and the increased collagen production makes the overall appearance more fresh and youthful. And here’s a great bonus: downtime from a plasma skin tightening treatment is minimal compared to traditional facelifts, which can take up to a month to totally heal.
Fine Lines and Wrinkles
When fibroblast plasma is applied to either side of a wrinkle, it pulls that skin back as it heals, making the crease less noticeable and in many cases smoothing it out completely. Fibroblast is safe to use around the eyes, making it perfect for reducing the appearance of crows’ feet; it can also be used as a non-surgical blepharoplasty to tighten up any drooping or crepey skin around the eyelids.
